How We Hand-Craft Your Vibrant Chromaluxe Metal Prints

We hand-craft every single print that comes through our studio in Seattle with personal care — no mass production here!

When we create your Chromaluxe Metal Print, your artwork is first printed on a transfer paper using our Epson F2600 dye-sublimation printer. It is then placed onto the Chromaluxe metal and placed into a heat press where the dyes transform into a gas pressed into the surface of the metal. As the metal cools, the dyes return to their solid-state, becoming permanently infused into the aluminum substrate.

Note: The special coating on the Chromaluxe metal prints can, at times, show subtle imperfections that, at regular viewing distance, would typically not be seen. While we do everything we can to avoid obvious imperfections, we are unable to redo metal prints based on subtle imperfections.

Chromaluxe Metal Prints: Sizes & Thickness

Thickness: All Chromaluxe Metal Prints are created with .045" thickness.

Sizing: We can create your Chromaluxe Metal Prints in any size up to 96x48".

Chromaluxe Metal Prints: Finishing & Appearance

The Chromaluxe Metal Print product is gloss white and glossy in appearance with slightly rounded corners (squared corners if adding gallery back option). However, you may choose from glossy, semi-gloss, or matte for the finishing of your print.

Chromaluxe Metal Prints: Hanging Options

Hanging: Choose no hanging hardware, an aluminum subframe with French cleat that floats your print 3/4" from the wall, or a hanging wire (up to 48x36").

Float Frame: A handcrafted wood frame with a deliberate shadow gap around the print, so nothing overlaps the edge of your art. Available in black (up to 72x48") or white (up to 60x40"), hung with a French cleat or a wire (up to 30x40").

Gallery Backer: Add a 1/8" thick Dibond backer with a black edge to your metal print, for better rigidity and a more prominent look on the wall.

Production & Shipping for Your Chromaluxe Metal Prints

Shipping Information for Your Chromaluxe Metal Prints

Shipping rates will be determined by the final size and weight of the package. We charge FedEx/UPS live rates. The following types of orders may require freight shipping or additional fees:

Products over 40" long that are shipped flat, such as MetalPrints and Acrylic Prints.
Custom Sizes that require special handling.
Large quantities that require bulky packaging.

We will provide quotes for these orders. Please email us at support@bumblejax.com for a freight quote. Please allow additional time for the quote and estimated freight delivery times.

Expedited shipping is not available for prints over 56x36" or 38x38" (square), which include Metal Prints, Wrapped Canvas Prints, Float Framed Prints, and Acrylic Prints. All shipments under these sizes can ship ground, 2-day or 3-day.

Most orders ship out in 7-10 business days. Larger orders may need additional time. Rush Orders are available. A 2-day rush charge is 50% of the print cost and a 3-day rush is 25% of the print price.

How can I clean my Chromaluxe Metal Print?

Contrary to popular belief, Chromaluxe Metal Prints aren't indestructible! Precautions should be taken to ensure that your prints last for many years to come. We highly recommend avoiding sustained direct sunlight on your print whenever possible, and to handle with care to avoid scratches.

How can I hang my Chromaluxe Metal Print?

You can choose no hanging hardware, an aluminum subframe with French cleat that floats your print 3/4" from the wall, or a hanging wire (up to 48x36").

How long will it take to receive my Chromaluxe Metal Print after I place my order?

Standard Production: For stocked sizes that can be ordered online, it typically takes 7-10 business days, extending to 10-15 days for large quantities or custom sizes.

Rush Production: Rush production is available for smaller quantities and sizes. A 2-day rush charge is 50% of the order total. A 3-day rush is 25% of the order total. Need an extreme rush to get your order out in 24 hours? Please ask, and we'll see what we can do. A 24-hour turnaround will be 100% of the order total.

Standard Shipping: Standard ground shipping is 1-5 business days depending on where you're located from our facility in Seattle, WA. Example: Orders going to WA, OR and ID can be as quick as one business day, while orders going to the East Coast may take up to 5 business days.

Rush Shipping: We offer expedited shipping options. For online orders, you have the choice of 3 day, 2 day, and standard overnight shipping.
