We hand-craft every single print that comes through our studio in Seattle with personal care — no mass production here!
When we create your Chromaluxe Metal Print, your artwork is first printed on a transfer paper using our Epson F2600 dye-sublimation printer. It is then placed onto the Chromaluxe metal and placed into a heat press where the dyes transform into a gas pressed into the surface of the metal. As the metal cools, the dyes return to their solid-state, becoming permanently infused into the aluminum substrate.
Note: The special coating on the Chromaluxe metal prints can, at times, show subtle imperfections that, at regular viewing distance, would typically not be seen. While we do everything we can to avoid obvious imperfections, we are unable to redo metal prints based on subtle imperfections.
Your Gallery-Grade Chromaluxe Metal Print Configurations
Thickness: All Chromaluxe Metal Prints are created with .045" thickness.
Sizing: We can create your Chromaluxe Metal Prints in any size at 1/4" increments up to 60x40". If you have questions about sizing for your metal print, please contact us.
The Chromaluxe Metal Print product is gloss white and glossy in appearance with slightly rounded corners (squared corners if adding gallery back option). However, you may choose from glossy, semi-gloss, or matte for the finishing of your print.
Aluminum Subframe/French Cleat Hang: The price of your Chromaluxe Metal Print includes elegant aluminum subframe and french cleat hanging system that floats your print 3/4" from wall.
Aluminum Subframe/Wire Hang: You can also upgrade your aluminum subframe option to include a wire hang system instead!
Gallery Backing: Upgrade during checkout to add a 1/8" thick dibond backer to your metal print for better rigidity and a more prominent look on the wall.
